Appointment of New Principal
20/01/2012

On behalf of the Trustees and Governors we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Principal for Bacon's College.  Mr John Martin has accepted the post of Principal and will join the college at the start of the summer term April 2012.  Mr Martin is currently Headteacher of Cheslyn Hay Sport and Community High School in Staffordshire.  He is a Headteacher of great experience in two schools who was described in his last Ofstead inspection as 'an outstanding and inspirational leader'.  He also worked for the Department of Education as a School Improvement Advisor. We look forward to working with Mr Martin as he brings his extensive knowledge and skills to the leadership of Bacon's.

We would like to thank you all for your patience and support during the search for a new Principal.  The Trustees and Governors were determined to find the best person possible to lead our very special College. We should also like to thank the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education, the Governors of Archbishop Tennison's school, Mr Richard Parrish and Mrs Sandra Routledge for their support for the leadership of the College in the period between Mr Perry's retirement and Mr Martin's arrival.
