Our Vision

Our aim as a department is to seize opportunities to provide 'spaces' for confidential, reflective and thoughtful conversations with our students.

The work done within the department includes:

  • Individual counselling sessions
  • Group counselling sessions
  • Workshops on Emotional Health and Well-being
  • Personal, Social and Health Education lessons including Sex and Relationship Education
  • Conflict Resolution through the Mediation Service
  • Parent Consultation Sessions
  •  'Walking with Adolescents' Series of talks/discussions for parents and carers
  •  After school drop in for students chill@changes

Bereavement

My son's poor behaviour in school was identified as grief, I hadn't realised as I was grieving too.  The counselling service gave him a space to talk.  Year 8 Parent.
