This festive season, Bacon's College is embracing the spirit of giving with our Advent Appeal. We're excited to announce that we are organizing a special Christmas party for our local elderly community, scheduled for the 13th of December. The event promises to be a heartwarming gathering, with around 100 guests attending, mostly through our collaboration with AGE UK.
A Goal for Goodness
Our target is to raise £1,500 for this wonderful cause. Any additional funds collected beyond this goal will be generously donated to ROBES, a charity dedicated to helping the homeless. This initiative is not just about celebrating the festive season; it's an opportunity for us to make a significant impact in the lives of those in need.
Festive Fundraising: The Christmas Market
To support our fundraising efforts, each year group at Bacon's College will host a Christmas market in the hall. This market will be open every lunchtime during the week beginning 11th December. It's a perfect chance for students to showcase their creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and festive spirit, all while contributing to a noble cause.
The Paper Chain Competition: Creativity Unleashed
Adding to the festive fun, our paper chain competition is in full swing and the creativity displayed so far is astounding! The competition, which challenges students to create the longest or most creatively designed paper chain, is heating up with some impressive entries already submitted. Keep an eye out for the winners, who will be announced in our next newsletter.
