Students at Bacon’s College are expected to complete homework outside of their timetabled lessons. They are expected to complete this work unsupervised in order to develop their capacity to study independently. Homework is intended to both raise attainment and nurture those independent research and study skills that will be increasingly important to them throughout their education and careers.
Parents and Carers also have their own log in to Show My Homework so that you can see for yourself what has been set and when it's due. Please ensure that your child completes all their homework.
Students needing support and access to computers are very welcome to join our daily homework club, which takes place after school in the library every day.
Students who do not complete their homework will be set an hour detention after school by their teacher.
This information is intended to provide clarity and transparency to students and parents or guardians about what to expect from remote education in the event that students are absent from school due to a local or national directive, or prolonged periods of absence.
All students can expect to have work set via Show My Homework. Students are expected to check this platform on a daily basis.

Technology - You will also receive one piece of Technology homework set on the day of your lesson which will be due for the next lesson.
