As GCSE qualifications are awarded across the country, students and staff at Bacon’s College are once again celebrating a strong set of exam results.

In addition to these collective successes, we would like to highlight the exceptional accomplishments of several individual students:

  • Afnan: Nine grade 9s, one grade 8, and one grade 7.
  • Rasha: Eight grade 9s, two grade 8s, and a grade 7.
  • Sarah: Eight grade 9s, two grade 8s, and a Level 2 Distinction.
  • Joel: Seven grade 9s, three grade 8s, and a Level 2 Distinction.
  • Kenny: Seven grade 9s, two grade 8s, and two grade 7s.

Top Performing A Level & BTEC Students 2024

  • Habibat achieved an A* and two As and will head to University College London to study Chemistry.
  • Jody will attend King’s College London to study Medicine after earning two As and a B.
  • Ella achieved DD* and will join St George’s, University of London to study Paramedic Science.
  • Mohammad secured three As and two Bs and will study Civil Engineering at University College London.
  • Adebusola will study Psychology and Languages Science at UCL after achieving two As and a B.
  • Akif is set to study Mathematics with Statistics at King’s College London after earning two As and a B.
  • Kacper will pursue Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton with two As and a B.
  • Jeta is heading to Queen Mary University of London to study Psychology for a Year Abroad after achieving two As and a B.

Beyond this, students’ achievements across the Sixth Form have opened doors to a wide variety of university and training courses. This ranges from environmental science and midwifery to nuclear engineering and music.

Our trajectory of excellence in performance at GCSE and A Level continues with impressive outcomes in 2022.

  • Bacon's College Year 11 students have held strong results in the first formal exams since 2019.
  • 82% of Year 11 students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths
  • 64% achieved grade 5 or above in English and Maths
  • Bacon’s College Sixth Form students have outdone themselves, securing places at top Russell Group universities, including the University of Oxford.
  • For A Levels, 30% resulted in A* or A grades.
  • 83% of BTEC and CTEC courses led to Distinction or Distinction*.

  • Finn, the Head Boy, with straight As, will study Geography at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
