Bacon's College accepts applications from all children living anywhere south of the River Thames with a South East London (SE) or South West London (SW) postcode on the basis of their proximity to the College – closest first.

The deadline for applying for a secondary school place for September 2025 is 31st October 2024.
Bacon’s College has a temporary agreed PAN of 195 pupils for September 2025.
Priority is given to pupils where Bacon’s College is named on their Educational Health & Care Plan (EHCP)
After this, priority is given to students in the following order:

If criteria 1-3 do not apply, applicants will be ranked using the distance from their home address to the College, closest first.
Positions on the waiting list are subject to change if new applications are received for the same year group. You can email the school office to get an update on your child's position throughout the academic year.

If your application for admission to Bacon’s College has been unsuccessful you have the right of appeal under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.

You must state the reasons for your appeal and also enclose copies of any supporting documents or evidence that you wish to present to the appeal panel.
Appeal hearings will be conducted by an Independent Panel who will write to you directly with details of the date and time of your hearing. For in-year admission appeals, your appeal will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being received.
For Year 6 into 7 admission appeals received during the normal admission round (March), appeals will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline set by the school at the time of the admission process.

Our aspiration for every student when they join us in year 7 is that they stay with us through to year 13, but we also welcome students from all over Southwark, Lewisham, Lambeth and the surrounding boroughs to our Sixth Form.
The academic demands at Sixth Form level are rigorous, therefore entry to our Sixth Form is subject to having achieved the minimum entry requirements and an academic reference.
