Our Christian values, which are upheld by all members of our community, lie at the heart of our mission and ethos.

Left
Right

These are the values of a loving and compassionate God, seen in our Lord Jesus Christ and lived out through the Holy Spirit. We enrich students’ lives with these values to inspire them to achieve academic and personal excellence. We strive for these values to be integral to the life of our community, shared by students, staff and parents.

Courage
Compassion
Respect
Faith
Integrity

College Chaplaincy

College Chaplaincy

We are committed to enabling our students to be the best that they can be; this involves expectation, challenge and guidance, as well as a commitment to their academic, moral and emotional development, whilst being aware of the significance of the spiritual dimension of our lives. Bacon’s is fortunate in providing chaplaincy, counselling and mediation services; the work of our student support staff and our Chaplain helps our students to value the uniqueness of each individual, and furthers mutual understanding and an appreciation of the value of service to others.

We value our work with parents and others in our aim of preparing our students for adult life, as family members and members of their wider communities. Students are exhorted to be generous in service to others through charity fundraising appeals and the student mediation service.

Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development

Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development

Participation in collective worship offers opportunities to support the development of all our children in these areas, particularly Spiritual and Moral, through exploration of their personal responses to the Word of God and the teachings of Christ. Students learn to respect and listen to each other, and develop a better understanding of themselves, their local, national and global communities.
