Innovative Art Project Aims to Turn School Waste into Environmental Awareness

In a novel initiative aimed at reducing waste and fostering environmental consciousness, our school is embarking on a project to transform everyday waste materials into a captivating piece of art.

Spearheaded by enthusiastic students and supportive librarian Erin Cunningham, this endeavour seeks to use discarded items such as old books, magazines, water bottles, and wrappers to create an environment-themed artwork. The planned artwork promises to be both a visual treat and a stark reminder of our impact on the planet.

As the planning phase kicks off, the project team has reached out to the art department for collaboration. The objective is to integrate this project into the upcoming Community Day, scheduled during the enrichment week, making it a highlight of the school's efforts to promote sustainability.

Moreover, the school will also be participating in an Eco workshop on Friday, 7th June. This workshop is expected to provide valuable insights into sustainable practices and inspire students to think creatively about reusing materials.

Stay tuned to our website for further updates on this exciting project and other events that encourage our school community to take proactive steps towards a greener future.
