We are seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher of Mathematics to join Bacon’s College. If you are a dedicated, motivated and determined individual looking for an opportunity to make your mark in a large and supportive school with huge potential, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join our journey to success. The role would suit newly qualified teachers as well as experienced teachers seeking a new challenge.
Mathematics is a popular and successful subject at the school. 2019 GCSE results were 75% 9-6 and 53% 9-5. At A Level 44% of students achieved A*-B grades.
This role calls for an individual who is able to inspire, challenge and motivate our students. You must have the highest of expectations of every student, be enthusiastic, flexible and have a desire to raise standards in Mathematics and to become a valued member of Bacon’s College.
The Mathematics department at Bacon’s College is strong, well-lead, cohesive and supportive. You will be expected to integrate into the team, work hard and contribute to its continual improvement.
Bacon’s College joined United Learning in Spring 2018, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have up to eight INSET days per year and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
Bacon’s College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all who work at the school to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
