A place to grow

Sixth Form

Welcome to Bacon's College Sixth Form

The Sixth Form at Bacon’s is successful, ambitious and inclusive and an excellent place to study and progress.

We believe that Bacon’s is a unique place to learn and grow, characterised by a strong ethos of caring and support and a focus on enabling students to realise their ambitions. We encourage all our students to adopt a proactive approach to their learning, whilst always being aware of the significance of the moral and spiritual dimensions of our lives. One of our core strengths is the positive relationships formed between staff and students, established through mutual respect and common goals.

We offer significant super-curricular opportunities for our students helping them to develop a passion for learning and their subject that will extend beyond the classroom and establish a rich set of experiences that prepare students for life after Bacon’s. There is an embedded culture of aspiration and challenge, reflected in the high proportion of our students who progress to higher education. A significant proportion of our students secure places at university each year, with approximately a third regularly going on to study at Russell Group universities.

We also provide a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities for students to lead and grow within the College. Our Sixth Form Leadership Team are selected to represent the students of the Sixth Form. They play a vital role in shaping the Sixth Form through acting as role models in assemblies and wider school events, fundraising, organising social events and much more. These extra-curricular opportunities help to develop your skills and interests, making you more appealing to potential employers or higher education institutions.

We expect Bacon’s students to view themselves as young adults and to take increased responsibility for themselves. There is a direct correlation between attendance and punctuality, students’ attitude to learning, and academic performance - therefore we have extremely high expectations of students in our sixth form.

We love being a part of the Bacon’s Community and would love you to become part of that community too.
