We have created this handbook for you. It includes everything you need to know about you / your child’s Sixth Form journey. From the business of policies and procedures through to handy revision tools and techniques. This handbook reflects the very high expectations we have of students and it is these high expectations that lead to success.
One of our key aims is to enable all students to feel as though they are an active and integrated part of our Sixth form as soon as possible. We share a number of activities between both Year 12 and Year 13 students at the start of each year in order to enable that process of integration and identification with our aims to take place as rapidly as possible.
We encourage students to adopt a dynamic and aspirational approach to learning, aware always of the significance of the spiritual dimension in their lives.
Although we recognise the growing autonomy of our Sixth Form students, we also realise from many years of experience that there is a direct link between attendance, punctuality and academic performance. For this reason, we require our procedures for registration to be respected on a daily basis.
We expect students to view themselves as young adults and to take increased responsibility for communicating effectively with the staff of our Sixth Form Office, their tutors and teaching staff.
